Vicki's Block of the Month

I will be teaching this as two blocks in a month since there are duplicates in small and large sizes. The layout repeats the same star block in two sizes but utilizes multiple finished block sizes—24", 12", and 6"—to create a complex, sampler-style appearance. the 4th class is optional if you want to do the layout.

Fabric needs: (suggested colors)

Cream	5 yds for blocks and borders 1-3
Dark Blue	½ yard for blocks O, P, S, and border 2
Green	7/8 yard for blocks O-T and border 2
Purple	½ yard for blocks Q, R and border 2
Lime	¾ yard for blocks S, U-X and border 2
Orange	¼ yard for blocks S and Z
Teal	5/8 yard for blocks Q-S and border 2
Magenta	½ yard for blocks S, T, Z and border 2
Red	3/8 yard for block T and border 2
Navy	5/8 yard for blocks U, V, Y and border 2
Gold	½ yard for Y and border 2
Turquoise	2 yds for border 4 and binding
Backing	7 7/8 yds.
