Point of View kaleidoscope Table Topper



In this class you will learn how to cut and assemble a fabric kaleidoscope. You will also learn how to make prairie points and attach them to an interfacing template with the final product being a circular folded star table topper. The possibilities are endless as far as fabric selection is concerned.  You can make one for every season.


Requirements: Supply List Point of View Kaleidoscope Table Topper ¼ - 1 yard for kaleidoscope center 1/3 yard each of 4 fabrics for prairie points 19” x 19” fabric for backing 2/3 yard batting (45” wide) 1/6 yard for non-bias binding or fat quarter or ½ yard for bias binding Point if View Kaleidoscope Interfacing Template (required, included with pattern) Point of View Kaleidoscope Folded Star Pattern Creative Grids 45 degree Kaleidoscope ruler or Point of View Kaleidoscope Acrylic Template Fabric glue stick Stiletto Prairie Point Pressing Tool (optional) Magic Mirror by Marti Michell (optional) Monofilament or 80 weight polyester thread Coordinating thread for topstitching prairie points Sharp scissors Nonstick machine needles size 80/12 or 90/14 (optional) Personal iron and ironing surface Rotary cutter and mat PRE-CLASS INSTRUCTIONS Starch, press and cut 16 five inch squares of prairie point fabrics. We’ll cut the kaleidoscope pieces in class.
